Terms of Service
Effective Date: June 23, 2026
Last Updated: June 23, 2026
1. Overview
TrustYourEstate.com ("Website") is operated by Sean C. Lucas, Esq. ("Firm"), an attorney admitted to practice law in Delaware. The Website provides information about the Firm's structured estate planning services. By accessing or using this Website, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use this Website.
2. No Attorney-Client Relationship
Visiting this Website, reading its content, submitting a qualification form, or communicating through the Website does not create an attorney-client relationship between you and the Firm. An attorney-client relationship is formed only upon execution of a written engagement agreement and payment of the applicable fee.
Information provided on this Website is general in nature and is not legal advice. It is not a substitute for consultation with a qualified attorney regarding your specific circumstances.
3. Attorney Advertising
This Website constitutes attorney advertising. The content is intended to provide general information about the Firm's estate planning services. Prior results do not guarantee a similar outcome. The hiring of a lawyer is an important decision that should not be based solely upon advertisements.
4. Qualification Form
The qualification form on this Website collects preliminary information to determine whether the Firm's structured estate planning services may be appropriate for your situation. Submitting the form does not create an attorney-client relationship, does not obligate you to engage the Firm, and does not obligate the Firm to accept your matter.
Information submitted through the qualification form is treated as confidential to the extent required by applicable rules of professional conduct, even before an attorney-client relationship is formed.
5. Estate Risk Scan
The Estate Risk Scan is a paid planning assessment ($750) that produces a written deliverable. It is not a free consultation. The fee is non-refundable; if you proceed with an estate plan within 90 days of the Risk Scan delivery, the $750 fee is credited in full toward your engagement fee. Completing a Risk Scan does not create an ongoing attorney-client relationship beyond the scope of that limited engagement.
6. Pricing
All prices displayed on this Website are fixed fees for defined scopes of service. Prices are subject to change without notice, but any price quoted during an Estate Risk Scan or stated in an engagement agreement will be honored for that engagement.
7. Intellectual Property
All content on this Website — including text, design, graphics, layout, and code — is the property of Sean C. Lucas, Esq. and is protected by applicable copyright and intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from this content without written permission.
8. Third-Party Services
This Website may contain links to third-party services (including Clio Scheduler for booking, LawPay for payment processing, and other tools). The Firm is not responsible for the content, privacy practices, or terms of any third-party service. Your use of third-party services is governed by their respective terms.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Firm shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of this Website. The Firm makes no warranties, express or implied, regarding the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of information on this Website.
This limitation does not apply to the Firm's professional obligations under an executed engagement agreement, which are governed by the terms of that agreement and applicable rules of professional conduct.
10. Disclaimer of Warranties
This Website is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. The Firm does not warrant that the Website will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components.
11. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Sean C. Lucas, Esq. and his employees and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable attorney's fees) arising from your use of this Website or violation of these Terms.
12. Privacy
Your use of this Website is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. Please review the Privacy Policy for information about how we collect, use, and protect your data.
13. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of this Website shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction and venue of the Delaware Court of Chancery (or, where that court lacks subject-matter jurisdiction, the Delaware Superior Court).
14. Changes to These Terms
The Firm reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes take effect when posted to this Website. Your continued use of the Website after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.
